ThePeachtree /Jr. Wildcats Volleyball program is designed to introduce student athletes to volleyball from an early age and develop the future talent of the Peachtree MS & Dunwoody High School volleyball programs. Peachtree/Jr. Wildcatscamps are offered Spring, Fall & Summer, as well as "Gap" training between camps for 3rd to 8th grade girls.Peachtree Middle School Volleyball offers 3 competitive teams for 6th-8th graders & 1 developmental team for 6th/7th grade girls. Jr Patriots 5th grade team is designed to introduce & reinforce basic volleyball skills with a strong emphasis on developing a love for the game. Program History: 2013: The Peachtree Middle School volleyball program began Fall 2013. 60 girls showed up for tryouts and Peachtree started with 2 teams. At the end of the first season, 15 Peachtree MS players decided to play year round volleyball at A5 & NAVC.
2014 - The Middle School program added two more teams - The White and Blue developmental teams. 80 girls attended tryouts, 50 girls made a team and 31 players chose to play club volleyball.
2016 - The Board saw the for a 5th grade team- in order to prepare the girls for the Peachtree volleyball program.. The Jr. Patriots team began with 15 girls. To handle the increased flow of volleyball players coming into Dunwoody HS, a new Freshman team started in 2016.
In 2012, there were 2 volleyball teams in the Dunwoody community (JV & V), the Jr Wildcats camps and only 5 girls were playing year round Club volleyball. In 4 short years, the Dunwoody community now has 8 volleyball teams (Jr Patriots 5th grade team team, 4 Middle School teams, 3 High School teams), Jr Wildcats camp, GAP and Advanced small group training offered year round & 64 girls play Club volleyball.!
